Operations Review

NESC efficiency experts can assess the operations of a nonprofit agency, from individual departments to the entire organization, to determine more efficient ways to operate, including assessing better uses of technology to maximize efficiency.

Among recent Operations Review projects:

  • For a New York trade association, NESC assessed the operations of the central staff to determine how to increase efficiencies in such areas as collection of dues, event logistics and registration, preparation of board materials and financial reports.

  • For a New Jersey community planning organization, NESC audited its activities and then recommended changes to improve effectiveness.

  • For a Connecticut public school system, NESC reviewed administrative operations to determine whether they were being conducted cost effectively and, where inefficiencies were identified, recommended new systems for improvement.

  • For a therapeutic recreation agency located in Westchester County, NESC conducted a review of its operations and activities to assure that it would be able to meet the future needs of the communities it serves.

  • For a Long Island social services agency that needed effective measurement systems targeted to its after-school programs, the NESC team helped define outcomes measurements to improve the students’ math and reading skills.

  • For a New York-based foundation, NESC was asked to provide consulting services to one of its grantees, a small publishing company. The consultants conducted an operations review designed to aid the grantee in achieving a high level of operation efficiency and to maintain the highest quality of product development and service.
