Business Plans
A highly successful economics and business training program for secondary school students engaged NESC to create a business plan for the formation of a national operation and independent legal entity.
Organizational Assessment
NESC worked closely with a philanthropic organization providing assistance to overseas education institutions for disadvantaged students. The NESC team assessed the overall organization and developed enhanced role definitions for both staff employees and important volunteer teams.
Operations Review
Teams of NESC consultants conducted a highly detailed review of the administrative operations for a comprehensive town school system, focusing on the roles and functions of non-teaching staff. This work resulted in an increased understanding of the responsibilities and interaction of the administrative staff and the identification of areas in which efficiencies could be improved with resulting cost savings.
Strategic Planning
The Executive Director of a national association of private schools retained NESC to provide a strategic plan for the association's leadership including the Board of Directors. This plan identified the critical priorities for the organization and the board so that action plans could be created for the support of future initiatives.
Communications Development
Recognizing that frequent communications with constituencies including parents, teaching and administrative staff, students and supporters, a successful and progressive school district used NESC experts to design and create a new school communications newsletter for regular distribution throughout the district's enrollment area.
Mentoring and Leadership Training
NESC conducted a mentoring program for new graduates of a work institute of a leading private university. NESC's consultants utilized their extensive private sector experience to assist graduates implement business plans developed through participation in the university program.
Organizational Analysis
For a Connecticut public school system, the NESC consultants conducted an organizational audit and made suggestions for fully implementing the recommendations for computer technology usage made by NESC in a previous year.
Executive Search
The rapid global and domestic multi-city expansion of a leading international education and cultural organization outstripped the capabilities of both the existing staff and the financial systems and operations. NESC successfully conducted a global search for a new Chief Financial Officer.
